A mystery caller is not always a welcome surprise. These online services have bought the records of cell phone service providers (like Sprint and T-Mobile) and putting them into one database making them available to the public for a small fee. The service providers themselves have never bothered to build a public database, for the reasons offered earlier.
However, with the availability of this information, you can now find out who that mystery caller was and, perhaps more importantly, whether you want to hear from them at all.
