These are handheld computers which generally have a color screen, audio capabilities which enable them to be used as mobile phones, portable media players and also as web browsers. They are also called palmtops and many of them do have wireless compatibilities along with internet which means you can have the access to the internet anywhere, anytime you like.
A PDA generally has a touch screen to enter data, memory card slot data storage and a wireless connection. Some of the PDAs do not have a wireless connection but they do have a Bluetooth connection. PDA is generally used by executives who are busy and need to plan their schedule in advance and have to remember a lot of things. Typically a PDA has an address book for contacts, a to–do list and an appointment calendar. It also has a note program in which you can note down the important things. The most important function that a PDA does is the synchronization that it can do with any computer. These are the reasons why it is still one of the most preferred gadgets, executives use world over.
